Mint Julep Recipe - 150th Derby Celebration

The Mint Julep is the official drink of the Kentucky Derby and this year marks the 150th anniversary of the race! To celebrate, we're shared our recipe with our friends at The Courier Journal!

Mint Julep 

Makes 1 drink


Ingredients

  • 2 oz. bourbon 
  • 1/2 oz. simple syrup - We used our Elemental Elixirs Golden Hour syrup
  • Fresh mint
  • Crushed ice


Instructions

Add all ingredients to a julep cup or highball glass and muddle

2 Add crushed ice 

3 Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint
